Poppy's radiotherapy

Hi All,

Well, Poppy had her mask made this afternoon & what an absolute star she was!!!!! We are so, so proud of her!!! We are also extremely grateful to Jenny (her play therapist) & to Jason & Claire Bode who made the whole experience fun (and reassured a very anxious mom an awful lot!)!!

Poppy starts radiotherapy on June 9th for 6 weeks. We feel ready to fight with her now - as always our little girl leads us. We will update throughout her treatment, and of course prayers & thoughts are always welcome!!!!

On a different note, I have now lost a stone (in 6 weeks!!!). I'm so chuffed!!! Our group total is over 9 stone now...that's a whole person!!!!

'Real People' magazine are featuring Poppy's story as a diary (using my emails from when Poppy was first diagnosed - edited to suit the style of their magazine). When they did the read-back to me it made me cry!!!! It's hopefully in the edition out next week (I think it's the 29th May?).

Thanks all for your prayers & thoughts. I've got an even bigger list of emails waiting for my reply now!!! So sorry everyone who is waiting!!!

Could you also please keep Poppy's friends who are also battling various illnesses in your prayers, thank you.

With love,
Lisa, Brian & Poppy Guilder
