BALL 2008 - 'Weddings'

We had our 3rd annual ball on Saturday 26th January 2008. Poppy was safely looked after by my Auntie Janine, who put a very worried mom’s mind at ease - only a day after having her new vascuport fitted ready for chemo to re-start!!! We were only 5 minutes away from home, but I was very anxious!!!

We had a fantastic turn out this year (156 guests!), with some wonderful (and weird!!!) outfits!! Our aim was to raise £3000, but we actually raised just over £4000!!! FANTASTIC!!! There are so many people that we need to thank – I really hope we don’t miss anyone out, if we have I’m sorry!

Special thanks need to go to…
Drayton Manor – all of the staff there do a fantastic job every year!
Balloons & Tunes – for making the room look AMAZING again! You are stars!
Gary Brittle & Jase – who have been our DJs free of charge 3 years running now & play the best cheesy party music we could ask for!
Viva la Diva – Thanks to Mich (my wonderful sister! x), Sally & Jenny for a great set! You were fab again, girls!
Leigh & Caroline Maddox – for making a film about Poppy that was the centre piece of the night – you did a wonderful, sensitive job, thank you x
Lucy & Lee Parker – for taking the photos, for our brilliant website, for sorting the cakes, the prizes, the taxi, my hair appointment, etc, etc…..!!!! THANK YOU!
Donna & Andy Heath – for generously donating a 2 week holiday in their Florida holiday home
Ross Jones – for donating a Ferrari Driving Day that raised £200 in our auction
Cameron at Olivier Strelli for donating a £70 voucher – that was sold for £80 at auction!!!
Colin Palin – for donating LOADS of Formula 1 prizes
Zoe Talbot – for donating spray tan donations & a prize
